PSYCHOTHERAPY & PSYCHOANALYSIS - BADARO, BEIRUT

Insight begins where you anchor.

It is a secure, steady environment where the mind can pause, reflect, and safely descend into deeper understanding; a path back to yourself when you feel adrift.

ANCHOR POINT - GROUNDED IN GROWTH

WELCOME TO ANCHOR POINT CENTER

In psychotherapy and psychoanalysis, an Anchor Point is more than a concept, it is a grounding space. It is both our metaphor and our mission: to offer clarity in confusion, depth in disconnection, and a path back to yourself when you feel adrift.

At Anchor Point Center, we believe everyone deserves a steady hand while navigating the complexities of the inner life. We offer more than therapy, we offer a return to your center. We believe that true healing begins where insight takes root and the psyche finds its anchor. Here, you are invited not just to feel better, but to know yourself more fully and start living more consciously.

Psychoanalysis

Sometimes the same struggles keep showing up in different forms, even when life on the surface looks fine. Psychoanalysis gives you a steady, ongoing space to explore what is really driving those patterns, so real change can take root over time.

Psychotherapy

Whether you are dealing with anxiety, low mood, relationship troubles, or just feeling stuck, psychotherapy offers a safe, confidential space to talk it through. Together with your therapist, you will work toward understanding yourself better and feeling more at ease in your own life.

Psychological Assessment

If you or your child are facing learning difficulties, emotional struggles, or simply want clarity on how you think and feel, a psychological assessment can help. It combines conversation and proven tools to give you a clear, honest picture and a solid starting point for next steps.

Counseling

Counseling is here for the moments you need focused support, like a tough decision, a rough patch, or a life transition, helping you find clarity and move forward with more confidence.

Parental Guidance

Parenting does not come with a manual. We work alongside with you to better understand what your child needs at each stage, easing tension and helping you feel more confident and connected as a parent.

Child

Kids do not always have the words for what they are feeling, so we meet them where they are, through conversation, play or creative activities. It is a gentle space for them to work through worries, family changes, school stress, or the process of growing up.

Adolescent Therapy

Adolescence can be a time of change, self-discovery, and uncertainty. Therapy offers teenagers a confidential and supportive space to talk openly, better understand themselves, navigate relationships and emotions, and build healthier ways of dealing with the pressures they may face.

Couple Therapy

When communication breaks down, it is easy to feel unheard or stuck in the same arguments. Couple therapy gives you both a space to really listen to each other again and rebuild a stronger, more honest connection.

Family Therapy

Family tension can affect everyone, even when it feels like it is really about just one person. We work with the whole family to ease conflict, improve communication, and help everyone feel more understood and supported at home.

Art Therapy

Some feelings are hard to put into words. Art therapy uses drawing, painting, dancing, music or other creative work to help you express what is inside, no artistic skill needed, just an open space to explore.

Workshops

Our workshops bring people together to talk openly about everyday topics like parenting, self-esteem, and managing emotions. They are a great way to learn, connect with others, and take a first step toward personal growth in a relaxed, supportive space.

Supervision

For psychologists, psychotherapists, psychoanalysts and mental health professionals, supervision offers a space to reflect on your cases and grow in your practice with experienced guidance. It is a chance to sharpen your clinical skills and feel more supported in your work.

Seminars & Conferences

We regularly host talks and events that make psychology and mental health topics accessible to everyone, not just professionals. They are a welcoming way to learn something new and connect with others who care about mental wellbeing.

Dr. Hoda Dagher

As a clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst with a PhD in Psychology and Psychopathology from "Université Lyon 2" - France, I have dedicated my career to fostering the growth of psychoanalysis and professional ethics in Lebanon.
As a member of "Espace Analytique-France" and a Co-founder of "Espace Analytique du Liban", I have focused on creating spaces for analytical discourse and professional growth. This commitment to the field extends to my regulatory work; following my tenure as a Board Member of "Lebanese Order of Psychologists (Lopsy)" (2022–2025), I currently maintain active membership on both its Administrative and Ethics Committees.

My clinical insights are deeply informed by my background in academia as a Lecturer at the Lebanese University and through my research. In my publications, I explore the complexities of psychoanalysis, seeking a deeper understanding of the challenges we face in an ever-changing world.

At "Anchor Point Center", which I founded on the conviction that everyone deserves a stable, professional environment, I specialize in a depth-oriented approach. I help individuals navigate their internal worlds to uncover the unconscious processes and patterns that shape their lives. My goal is to move past surfacelevel "quick fixes" to achieve meaningful, insight-driven growth.

Whether you are navigating a life transition or deep-seated trauma, I am here to help you build a foundation of self-understanding - your own "anchor"- that remains steady even when the external world does not.

Beyond my clinical practice, I remain deeply committed to the future of our profession through the training and supervision of the next generation of practitioners.

Pamela El Hage

As a psychologist and psychotherapist practicing since 2009, I have built my work on a solid foundation of clinical experience and continuous professional development in private practice, school psychology, and associative work supporting children with disabilities and immigrant populations.

My clinical approach is rooted in integrative and analytic psychotherapy, combining depth of exploration with the flexibility to adapt to each individual’s unique needs. Rather than focusing solely on symptom relief, I aim to explore the underlying roots of distress to foster meaningful and lasting change.

I support individuals navigating a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, self-esteem, relational difficulties, grief, life transitions, and burnout. In parallel, I collaborate with companies to bring psychological expertise into organizational settings, and facilitate support groups and workshops focused on mental health and personal development. Committed to professional growth, I engage in regular supervision and ongoing training to provide a safe, confidential space for a trusting therapeutic relationship.

As part of the Anchor Point Center team, I work within a multidisciplinary framework to support each patient through a holistic therapeutic journey.

Rita Bassil

As a clinical psychologist and analytic-systemic psychotherapist training at Espace Analytique du Liban, my practice is grounded in psychoanalytic paradigms. I offer adults, adolescents, and families a specialized space to navigate their unique psychological challenges.

In my practice, I view therapy as an essential space for untangling the complex web of personal and family histories. My work is specifically designed to safely identify the subjective hurts and structural repetitions holding you back from fulfillment. By bringing these buried experiences into language, the therapy offers the opportunity to process painful emotions and realign your relationship with your history.

At Anchor Point Center, my objective is to provide a secure, rigorous, and deeply compassionate clinical environment tailored to your needs. Whether addressing acute personal crises or long-standing generational patterns, my therapeutic work focuses on decoding the hidden logic of the difficulties you face. Through this shared clinical exploration, you are invited to re-author your history and initiate lasting psychological change.

Zoha Sfeir

As a clinical psychologist, I am engaged in advancing ethical and reflective clinical practice in Lebanon through hospital-based care and ongoing psychoanalytic formation. Currently practicing at Mount Lebanon Hospital, I provide psychological support to patients and their families, intervene in situations of acute emotional distress, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote recovery and psychological well-being.

I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the Lebanese University and am currently pursuing psychoanalytic formation at "Espace Analytique du Liban", where I continue to deepen my clinical practice through supervision and analytic training.

My professional experience also includes work in child protection in collaboration with UNICEF and the Lebanese Ministry of Education, strengthening my commitment to trauma-informed and ethically grounded care.

Through my clinical and psychoanalytic work at Anchor Point Center, I strive to create a space where speech may unfold, subjective suffering may be heard, and psychological care may support meaningful transformation.

Pamela Hayek

I am a licensed clinical psychologist based in Lebanon. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Saint Joseph University of Beirut (USJ). My practice is oriented by a psychoanalytic approach, offering a space to explore unconscious processes and the singular experience of each individual. I work with children, adolescents, and adults, with particular experience in trauma, questions related to gender identity and sexuality, and the challenges that arise through early adulthood.

As a member of the "Lebanese Society of Psychoanalysis" (SLP), and with psychoanalytic training at "Espace analytique du Liban" (EaL), I am committed to maintaining rigorous clinical and ethical standards through ongoing supervision and professional development.

I value cultural sensitivity and strive to provide a respectful and inclusive therapeutic space that acknowledges the uniqueness of each person’s experience.

As part of the Anchor Point Center team, my role is not to offer predetermined answers, but to accompany individuals in exploring their experience and finding their own singular and creative responses to life's impasses, within a secure, containing, and respectful therapeutic setting.

Yara Nassar

I am a psychoanalytically oriented licensed psychologist with a Master’s in Educational Psychology, having practiced across educational and clinical settings in Canada and Lebanon. My diverse roles have included counselor, special educator, and university instructor.

Throughout my career, I have supported children with varied learning, behavioral, and developmental needs. I possess extensive experience in psychoeducational assessment and diagnostic formulation. In my current practice, I administer and interpret standardized cognitive and academic measures, integrating psychometric data with clinical observation and developmental history to create comprehensive psychological profiles.

Over the past four years, I have engaged in intensive training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at Espace analytique du Liban. This depth-oriented training informs my approach with children, adolescents, and adults, focusing on underlying psychological processes rather than surface-level symptoms.

At Anchor Point Center, my work is conducted under regular supervision, ensuring ethical accountability and thoughtful care.

Maria Antar

I am a clinical psychologist currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Université Saint Joseph – Beirut. I have also completed my training in analytical psychotherapy at "Espace Analytique du Liban". My clinical work is rooted in a trauma-informed and psychoanalytical approach, focusing closely on child protection, emotional development, and psychosocial intervention.

Through my work with "Himaya," I provide psychological assessments and therapeutic support to children, adolescents, and families facing complex trauma, neglect, and abuse. My experience also extends to inclusive educational settings, where I support children with autism spectrum disorder and learning difficulties while collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams.

Alongside clinical practice, I am deeply interested in transgenerational dynamics and the intersection between psychology, culture, and society.

As part of the Anchor Point Center team, I remain committed to ethical practice, continuous professional development, and creating therapeutic spaces centered on understanding, resilience, and meaningful psychological growth.

Rita El Deek

I am a clinical psychologist with training in analytical psychotherapy and over four years of specialized experience in rehabilitation and addiction treatment.

My practice is grounded in psychoanalytic and psychodynamic approaches, exploring the unconscious, emotional life, attachment patterns, and interpersonal relationships. I work with individuals experiencing addiction, anxiety, emotional distress, relationship difficulties, grief, low self-esteem, and life transitions.

My approach seeks to understand each person beyond the symptom, with attention to their unique history and subjective experience.

I offer a confidential, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where individuals can explore themselves and their experiences at their own pace.

At Anchor Point Center, that vision comes to life. Together, we move from this point of anchoring toward greater self-understanding, inner stability, and meaningful change.

Joanna Abi Zeid Daou

I am a clinical psychologist currently completing my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Université Saint Joseph – Beirut. I have also completed my training in analytical psychotherapy at Espace Analytique du Liban. My clinical work is grounded in a psychoanalytic approach, seeking to understand the unconscious processes and transgenerational dynamics that shape each individual’s unique experience.

Through my work with SESOBEL, I conduct psychological assessments and provide therapeutic support to individuals presenting with disabilities, neuromuscular diseases and learning difficulties, while maintaining close collaboration with families and the multidisciplinary team. This experience has deepened my understanding of the emotional and psychological state of people living with disabilities, while highlighting the importance of adapting clinical practice to each person’s reality and mode of expression.

As part of the Anchor Point Center team, I am committed to offering a space of attentive, respectful listening, where individuals can explore their subjective experience and find their path towards understanding and growth, within a secure and ethically grounded therapeutic setting.

Rami Makhlouf

I am a clinical psychologist holding a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the Lebanese University. Committed to a continuous anchoring in clinical depth, I pursue my psychoanalytic training at Espace analytique du Liban toward becoming an analytic psychotherapist.

My diverse clinical experience spans several specialized fields, including: Onco-psychology and palliative care, adult psychiatry and addiction treatment, neurocognitive disorders, Child protection and support for intellectual disabilities.

This broad background informs my work across the entire lifespan. In working with older adults, I honor the lived experience of elderly patients with the profound depth and respect it demands. Concurrently, I design and facilitate specialized workshops for children and adolescents focused on emotional expression, self-awareness, and personal guidance—creating structured, secure environments where younger individuals can safely explore and articulate their inner worlds.

At Anchor Point Center, my objective is to offer an authentic clinical space where words can unfold without constraint. It is a space of genuine, non-judgmental listening where subjective suffering can be uniquely named, heard, and transformed into a foundation for meaningful psychological growth.

Alongside, I serve as the Administrative & Operations Coordinator at Anchor Point Center, contributing to the coordination of the center’s administrative and operational activities, as well as the organization and development of its professional programs and initiatives.

Sarah Dagher

My work is rooted in a deep interest in the emotional and developmental worlds of children. As a certified childhood educator with over five years of experience in both Canada and Lebanon, I have worked with children aged 0 to 13, including those with special needs. These experiences have shaped my sensitivity to the many ways children express and navigate their inner lives.

I approach my practice by integrating psychological insight with educational experience. Rather than focusing solely on behavior, I seek to understand what may lie beneath it by recognizing that each child’s actions carry meaning within their own subjective world. This perspective informs the workshops I design and facilitate, where I aim to create spaces that support both emotional expression and developmental growth.

At Anchor Point Center, I am committed to accompanying children with attentiveness and care, helping to build early foundations for emotional resilience, self-awareness, and a grounded sense of self.

Alongside, I serve as the Administrative & Operations Coordinator at Anchor Point Center, contributing to the coordination of the center’s administrative and operational activities, as well as the organization and development of its professional programs and initiatives.
